Transport for Greater Manchester

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is the local government body responsible for delivering Greater Manchester’s transport strategy and commitments, as set by the Mayor and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. This includes working closely with the 10 local authorities to deliver the Bee Network, Greater Manchester’s proposal for a 1,800 mile cycling and walking network.

Sustrans is the charity making it easier for people to walk and cycle. Their role in this project is to engage with local people on what is important to them about their area, and how it might be improved, creating a design for an active neighbourhood which properly addresses local concerns and aspirations.
